12 DAYS of CHRIST - DAY 11 Christ is the Reason for the Season
It's easy to get caught up in the busy-ness of the season and forget the reason...Jesus Christ.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begottenSon, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but haveeverlasting life.

12 DAYS of CHRIST - Day 9 Jesus is the Bread of Life
Holy Bible John 6
35 And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
48 I am that bread of life.
49 Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
50 This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

12 DAYS of CHRIST - Day 7 The Only True God
Article of Faith 1
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland in Oct. 2007 General Conference "THE ONLY TRUE GOD AND JESUS CHRIST WHOM HE HATH SENT"
"I testify that Jesus Christ is the literal, living Son of our literal, living God. This Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer who, under the guidance of the Father, was the Creator of heaven and earth and all things that in them are. I bear witness that He was born of a virgin mother, that in His lifetime He performed mighty miracles observed by legions of His disciples and by His enemies as well. I testify that He had power over death because He was divine but that He willingly subjected Himself to death for our sake because for a period of time He was also mortal. I declare that in His willing submission to death He took upon Himself the sins of the world, paying an infinite price for every sorrow and sickness, every heartache and unhappiness from Adam to the end of the world. In doing so He conquered both the grave physically and hell spiritually and set the human family free. I bear witness that He was literally resurrected from the tomb and, after ascending to His Father to complete the process of that Resurrection, He appeared, repeatedly, to hundreds of disciples in the Old World and in the New. I know He is the Holy One of Israel, the Messiah who will one day come again in final glory, to reign on earth as Lord of lords and King of kings. I know that there is no other name given under heaven whereby a man can be saved and that only by relying wholly upon His merits, mercy, and everlasting grace19 can we gain eternal life."

12 DAYS of CHRIST - DAY 6 Christ's Atonement
Book of Mormon - 2 Nephi 2:6 "Wherefore, redemption cometh in and through the Holy Messiah; for he is full of grace and truth."
I know that my Redeemer lives! I know Christ is real, that He is our advocate with the Father. I know as we repent and come unto Him, that He gathers us in His loving arms and forgives our sins, carries our burdens and heals our hearts.

12 DAYS OF CHRIST - Day 5 Christ Heals the Sick
DAY 5 - Christ truly heals the sick
Holy Bible - John 5
“And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years.
“When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?
“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.
“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked”

12 DAYS of CHRIST - Day 4 Christ is our Teacher
Holy Bible - Matthew 5:48 "Be ye therefor perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect."
Christ is the Great Teacher. He teaches principles of kindness, forgiveness and love. He teaches us the doctrine of God our father. It is only through Christ and His teachings, commandments, and Atonement that we can be made perfect.

12 DAYS of CHRIST - DAY 3 - Christ forgives
(Due to a busy schedule yesterday, I am a day late posting Day 3. Day 4 soon to come.)
Christ heals not only our physical infirmities, but also forgives us of our sins.
Holy Bible: Colossians 1:14 "In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins."
Book of Mormon: Moroni 6:8 "But as oft as they repented and sought forgiveness, with real intent, they were forgiven."

I love the forgiveness this painting depicts as stated in John 8:10-11 "When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. "

12 DAYS of CHRIST - Day 2 Christ Heals
Jesus Christ is our healer.
Book of Mormon - Ether 12:27 "And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
I know if we come unto Christ that he will heal us. I'm grateful he has healed my heart. I hope we all may let him heal our hearts this Christmas season, and beyond.

12 Days of CHRIST - Day 1 Christ is Born
Christmas is a wonderful time of year. It's filled with excitement, family, friends, trees, lights, decorating, fun activities, gift giving, and goodie making. I realized that I often get so busy during Christmas that I fail to remember the reason I really celebrate the holiday. . . Jesus Christ! He is the reason I celebrate Christmas. I celebrate His birth, His life, His atoning sacrifice, and His resurrection.
This year I decided I would stop, slow down, and take time to remember the reason for the season! So I am blogging about 12 Days of not just Christmas, but 12 Days of Christ!
12 DAYS OF CHRIST - DAY 1
Luke 1:30-31 "And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS."

I am grateful that Mary listened to and believed the angel, as did Joseph and the shepherds. Truly God does know all things and will make His will known to us. I'm grateful Mary obeyed the Lord and gave birth to Jesus Christ, the Son of God!
