I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true!

Today I want to say how grateful I am to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I hadn't shared my testimony in Sacrament meeting for a long time, I'm not sure why. But today I decided it was time. I don't know why sharing my testimony is still hard at times. I've done it many times since I've been a member of the church all my life, but it still takes courage. I worry too much what others will think of me and my introverted nature always makes speaking in front of people a little hard. I couldn't help but share today though that there are many things that I KNOW!

I know God lives. I know He is our Heavenly Father who loves us and I know His son Jesus Christ died for us. I know they care about us. They care about our well being. They care about our desires. They care about our challenges and trials and sorrows. They want us to be happy and they want us to know them.
I know the Book of Mormon is true. It contains an ancient record of people who really lived and had questions and challenges just like we do today. The Lord spoke to them and He still speaks to us. I know the Doctrine and Covenants and other church materials, like Gospel Doctrine manuals and other church manuals are true and give us correct principles to live by, that, when sincerely applied, do truly bring happiness!
I know keeping the commandments and following the living prophet, Thomas S. Monson, and other church leaders bring us safety, guidance and direction for a happy life. I know the holy temples of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are sacred places we can go to feel the Holy Spirit and to communicate with God.
I know personal revelation is real and we can receive it in the temples, through sincere prayer, by reading the scriptures, while attending church, and really in any other place that allows the spirit to be with us. I have received personal revelation! I know I have. The Lord has told me through prayer, scriptures and temple attendance "things which no man knoweth" (Doctrine & Covenants 6:24) when I was at a point of desperate instruction. Those things which the Lord told me have happened and are happening. Had it not been for personal revelation I would not have known which direction to take my life and I wouldn't have been prepared for greater blessings to come into my life.
I know the Lord loves me! And I hope that I can love Him as much in return!
I know the Gospel of Jesus Christ is True!
